HAMMOND monoplane
A single-seater tractor monoplane was built by Hammond at Brooklands in Shed No.2 during the summer of 1913. It was a simple design with two parallel steel tubes forming the fuselage. The engine was a 30hp Advance four-cylinder water-cooled vee type, already an old type, probably used in his earlier machines. The wing was based on a single spar made of 2 l/2in diameter by 22swg steel tube.

Hammond Monoplane
E. V. Hammond's Monoplane was built at Brooklands during the summer of 1913. It was a single-seat tractor and was powered with a water-cooled four-cylinder vee 30 h.p. Advance engine which had been modified for the purpose. Cheapness was a prime consideration behind the design of the machine; the fuselage consisted simply of a pair of steel tubes bet parallel with each other.
